Students planning to study at Paris Est Marne-la-Vallée university (UPEM) for one or two semesters need to initially contact their home institution coordinator. The UPEM only accepts selected incoming students in accordance with the bilateral agreement signed by both institutions.

How to apply?

Nominated students will receive by e-mail the link to the online application form that they must complete and submit by the applicaiton deadline.
Please note that before submitting you online application, you will have to upload the following documents on the platform:

  • French language certificate, level B1 or B2, depending on the discipline
  • Passport photocopy
  • Identity photo
  • Cover letter 
  • All academic transcripts of records
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Certificate of Bachelor's/Master's degree (if you already have one)
  • Letter of recommendation in French or English - only for French Studies, Political Science, Film and Audiovisual Studies and Tourism
  • Provisional list of courses (Erasmus students : Learning Agreement duly completed, signed and stamped by the department and international relations coordinators of your home institution)
  • Copy of Quebec social security form SE-401-Q-106 (if applicable)

Application deadline
1st term / Fall semester : May 31st
2nd term / Spring semester : November 15th

  2. Select your study program
  3. Click the tab entitled "Enseignements" to consult the list of courses

You may choose your courses from the following categories:

  • Les Formations Licence (Bachelor's degrees)
  • Les Formations Master (Master's degrees)
  • Les Formations DUT (Diplômes universitaires de technologie, two year university technology degrees)
  • Les Formations d'ingénieur (Master's degrees in Engineering)

Only “English Studies”, "International Management" and “Development Expertise and International Projects Management” are taught in English.

ECTS credits
The UPEM organizes its courses according to the Qualifications Framework of the European Higher Education Area (Bachelor - Master - PhD). UPEM requires 30 ECTS credits per semester for successful completion.
